1. You book
The price includes collection and return, packing materials and insurance.

- We’ll store most items weighing less than 25kg. You can see a list of the few things we can’t store here.
- Store your items in boxes you’ve ordered from us, or your own, provided they’re double walled (see details here). We can also store your larger items, if agreed to in writing, and provided they are wrapped carefully in bubble wrap rather than a box.
- If you’re not sure how long you want to store for, just choose 1 month to ‘Pay-As-You-Store’ and you can amend the length of time by logging into your account. Otherwise you can get cheaper rates by committing to store for longer with a ‘Longer Term Price Plan’.

- We’ll store most items that weigh less than 25kg.
- You can store your items in boxes you’ve ordered from us, or your own, provided they’re suitably sturdy. If you’ve picked it up from a supermarket checkout it’s probably not suitable. Please don’t risk damage to your items by using any old cardboard box. It’s actually cheaper to use our boxes!
- If you order too many we’ll take any unused boxes back and refund you their storage cost.
- We can also store your larger items, please get in touch for a bespoke quote.
- Our price also includes 5 metres of bubble wrap, 66 metres of tape and tamper-proof labels.

2. We collect
We collect from your current uni address (including uni accommodation) on the day you specify. Where possible we will call ahead to make sure you’re ready and give you an estimated time when we’ll be there.

- We ask that you label your items with your personalised labels and the tamper-proof labels which will be sent out to you. If your item is not boxed, please make sure your label is securely attached.
- If you need to store something that isn’t listed when you order, please get in touch with us on 0333 2070881 or email us at for a bespoke quote.
- If you need to change your collection date you can do so up to two days before by logging in to your account, otherwise a fee may occur.
- Please give us as much information about getting access to your property/uni accommodation as possible when you book.
- We’ll send you a reminder email up to 3 days before collection and return. Please make sure that you available for the whole day and that your boxes are ready to be collected. Where possible we may be able to call to give a more approximate arrival time.
- We are happy for you to leave your items in a reception for us to pick up. Just make sure that you tell us this has been agreed and you make sure that reception have agreed and are aware of us and what we are collecting.

3. We store
We store your items in our secure storage facility for as long as you need (minimum 4 weeks) until it’s time to return everything.

- To help you keep track of what you’ve stored with us it’s a good idea to take photos and a list of items in each box and upload this to your account.
- All our vehicles have Goods in transit Insurance up to £20,000. Each item you store is insured up to £100 whilst in storage. If you have more valuable items you can pay extra for £500 per box, otherwise please check that your home insurance covers it being stored and if not then you should be able to add it to your policy.
- The total cost of your storage is charged when you order. That’s all you will pay unless you want to add or reduce the storage time. The cost includes boxes, packing materials, collection and return.

Back to your (new) uni address and the price is included in the total storage cost. There is nothing extra to pay. If you need to get your things shipped to another country we can organise this for you, just get in touch. If you find you need your things to be returned to a . location outside your uni area, just get in touch too.

I used the Student Storage Experts to store my university stuff for the summer. They delivered boxes for me to pack my things and then collected them on the morning I chose.
